Case study

Utilizing your cleaning service company’s website to expand your customer base

Web Design

The demand for janitorial services has skyrocketed since the onset of COVID-19. While this may mean you’ll have more business coming in than ever, it also means the market for cleaning companies is more saturated than ever. With lots of competition, you’ll want to make sure your website is attractive, accurately reflects the services you offer, and makes it easy for potential clients to get in touch with you.

My Cleaning Service, a commercial janitorial, post-construction and disinfection cleaning service based in the Mid-Atlantic, is a leader in the industry– but their website needed some work to reflect that. MCS worked with Web Interactive Technologies to launch their new website, complete with a blog and a way for visitors to request a free quote.

A modern web design reflecting the company’s commitment to quality

If you’re in the cleaning industry, your website better be, well, clean. A cluttered, outdated design won’t reflect positively on your work in the field so having a fresh design with a good amount of white space is a good choice for this industry.

A well-organized and visually appealing way to present information

The new My Cleaning Service homepage presents just enough detail to the visitor to direct them to where they need to go without information overload. The page has a nice balance of information about the company, an overview of service offerings, and a call-to-action to get a free quote. The company has a good amount of content so we made sure to create separate pages, accessible using the dropdown navigation menus at the top.

A quick way for visitors to request a free quote

Making it as easy as possible for potential first-time clients to get a quote from you starts the relationship off on a positive note right off the bat. Don’t make your website visitors work hard to start the process– a short contact form that requests just enough detail (but not too much) is sufficient. Any form submissions land right in the inbox of a My Cleaning Service team member so they can respond quickly without having to log into the back-end of the site.

Blogging regularly can position you as an industry thought leader

The My Cleaning Service site also features a blog, where the company can post articles, news updates, and more about the cleaning industry. Customers are more likely to want to do business with a company that’s in the know about what’s going on in the industry and cares about giving their audience regular updates. Important things to remember about your blog are to update it regularly so it doesn’t get stale, and avoid using it solely to promote your company’s services (that’s what the rest of your website is for).
